Construction of the new Meissen substation

Cable entries with HSI150, HEA, ZVR and HRD

The Dresden-based utility company Energie Sachsen Ost AG Dresden is the customer for this new substation.

The brief for construction of the new substation was the connection of HSI150 cable entries and earthings at the new service building for the existing substation.

Following the planning stage, the construction company TS-Bau from Glaubitz was commissioned by the engineering firm Szillat from Radebeul.

HSI150 cable entries, earthings and press seals were used.
Different cable entry packages were installed on the various sides of the service buildings. Thanks to the package arrangement, a high installation density was achieved for connecting e.g. cable ducts.
The cable entries were integrated in the armouring and fastened via the nail holes provided in the shuttering.
All entries are blind sealed with the pressure-tight HSI150 closing cover as standard to prevent any possible ingress of water. The closing cover is located beneath the protective foil.
Several earthing entries and earthing fixed points are used for earthing/equipotential bonding. These are integrated and fastened in the armouring. The earthing fixed points are connected to the equipotential bonding conductor prior to concreting.
Cable-access and inspection chambers were partly also installed in the area of the cable entries in front of the building. These facilitate subsequent retrofitting of the cable entry with additional cables.
The entire cable vault was concreted in waterproof-quality concrete.
